My name is Darlene, and I am a full time God-fearing and devoted Christian woman before anything else. I was born and raised in Boston and currently I am an educator of young minds. I spend majority of my time teaching and instilling positivity into my kids. It is also a challenge being a Christian teacher in today’s world. One thing I know for sure is that I will not compromise my faith. I stand on the Word of God be that I stand alone or not. My guide is the B.I.B.L.E.
By the grace of God, I am in a place where I am finally making this website come to life so that it can be available for everyone. I always wanted to write a blog but could not come to the point of actually working on it. This dream of mines seemed impossible, and I honestly did not know where to start. I always enjoyed writing but never seemed to put it into work so it may bless others. I am here to tell you that if you trust in the Lord with all your heart, mind, and soul, He truly will guide you just like He is guiding me!
When I look back, I created a folder on my laptop titled blog. I happen to read it over today and I noticed how passionate and well thought out my ideas were. I had so many great ideas brainstormed (Praise God!) When I happen to look at the date, I had created the outline; I was astonished! It said 2018! This is more of a motivator for me to always push through. Thank God for knowing me better then I know myself because I am sure 2018 was probably not the year for me to go live! If you are struggling, feeling impatient, or trying to rush the hand of God, please don’t. PRAY, WAIT, AND TRUST! His timing is always better than our very own. Your prayers, your waiting, and your trust in Him is not in vain. If you can’t tell already how much I am in love with the Lord, I am!
I also love fashion. I love getting dressed and putting different pieces together. I never wanted to blend in, I aways wanted to stand out (be set apart) that’s a whole different topic for another time. I do not follow any “fashion rule” so therefore I make my own. I am not a fashion expert, but I do want to share my own style and fashion ideas with you. I have thought long and hard on what my style is and what I should call it. Ready for it? I believe I am chic, the way I style something is different from everyone else, funky, playful, colorful, casual, over the top, I take something generic and make it my very own, knowing how to accessorize. I like all things fabulous and glamorous; I am extra, I love high heels and I have high hopes. I do not think I can summarize all of that in one or two words.
I want you to know being modestly fashionable is not impossible. I absolutely believe that you can be a great woman of God and at the same time love fashion, love to look good while also being covered. The world is filled with indecency so why should you conform to the patterns of this world and reveal your body; the same body that is not even yours. Amen! I conclude with this; I think it is important to know what your style is and when you do find it, please do not forget to own it. It’s yours!
